Floating Cable for Marine and Aquaculture Applications

Applications:
Floating cables supply power and transmit control or monitoring signals to equipment installed on or around floating systems. Typical applications include fish farms and aquaculture cages, floating docks and pontoons, pumps, aerators, feeding systems, underwater lighting, and water-quality monitoring equipment. For shore-to-farm or cage-to-cage connections, cable construction should be selected according to the required buoyancy, voltage, conductor configuration, water conditions, movement, and mechanical loads.

Typical Floating Cable Configurations

• Floating Power Cable – for pumps, aerators, lighting, and other electrical equipment.

• Floating Control Cable – for sensors, feeders, and automated equipment.

• Floating Power and Signal Cable – combines power conductors with control or communication pairs.

• Floating Hybrid Cable with Optical Fiber – combines power transmission with fiber-optic data links.

• Freshwater or Seawater Floating Cable – designed for the installation environment and operating conditions.
